Its something that I believe in or at the very least, something I wish I believe is true. The story of how I ended up as Tiffany and Jimmy’s wedding photographer (and friend!) is the reason why:
A few years back, a university classmate posted a help wanted ad on FB for people (and companies) to donate prizes to a charity event. She had volunteered for Engineers Without Borders for several years and had just come back from a field trip to Ghana. She wanted to raise money to help build a school in Gana and a charity auction was her way of doing it. I called her up and offered to auction off an engagement/couples or family photo session to help her cause.
A few weeks after the charity auction I got a call from Jimmy. He bid and won the auction but didn’t really want an engagement shoot at the time. He was quite busy settings up his practice, Form and Function, and asked if i would be able to photograph the opening ceremony instead.
Fast forward a year or so and I get a call from Tiffany. Jimmy had just propose to her and they immediately decided that I should be their wedding photographer.
Fast forward another year (with a high park engagement session in there) and here we are. Tiffany and Jimmy’s wedding at The Manor by Peter and Paul.
Tiffany and Jimmy tossed the idea of a photobooth around for their wedding, but I had a better idea and got Christian Lee Photography from Ottawa to help document the day and man the photo booth station during parts of the reception.
Done forget to check out Tiffany and Jimmy’s wedding from a different perspective on his blog.
Beautiful portraiture and storytelling.
The angle on the second shot is superb.
Wow love the way you lit the last one to still get the beautiful color in the sky!
