When Andrea and Marc started talking about locations for our engagement session we wanted to keep away from the common locations that are generally used for engagements and wedding portraits. Don Valley Brickworks, Distillery District, Harbourfront, Centre Island, Queen and Dundas, etc… you get the idea. I told them to give me a few days to scout out a few locations and I would get back to them.

While roaming around one Sunday afternoon, Mary and I stumbled across this abandoned barn in Scarborough. It looked really interesting and I thought it would be a really awesome location for an engagement shoot. I got a few photos and sent them to Andrea to see what she thought. Her first response was “I don’t want to be in the Blair Witch Project” which I thought was extremely funny and knew at that moment we were going to have a blast!

Here are a few of my favourites from this shoot:

I love the positioning of your subjects. In an industry where there are so many photographers that are all similar, you’ve done a great job standing out.
